Our Mission
At Whitman Mesothelioma Law Firm, our mission is straightforward: to provide exceptional legal representation to individuals and families affected by mesothelioma and asbestos-related diseases. We are dedicated to holding the companies responsible for asbestos exposure accountable, and to securing the compensation our clients need to face the challenges ahead.
Every person who walks through our doors receives the same commitment — thorough case investigation, honest counsel, and aggressive advocacy. We believe that families dealing with a mesothelioma diagnosis deserve a legal team that treats their case as a priority, not a number.
Our History
Whitman Mesothelioma Law Firm was founded as a division of Danziger & De Llano, LLP, a nationally recognized litigation firm based in Houston, Texas. With more than 30 years of combined experience in asbestos litigation, our attorneys have recovered over $2 billion for mesothelioma and asbestos exposure victims and their families.
Over the decades, we have represented shipyard workers, refinery employees, construction tradespeople, military veterans, and families across California and Texas. Our deep understanding of asbestos exposure history in these states — from Bay Area shipyards to Gulf Coast refineries — gives us a distinct advantage in building compelling cases for our clients.
What Sets Us Apart
- Local California Presence: With offices in Santa Clara, San Francisco, and Sacramento, we are embedded in the communities where asbestos exposure occurred. We know the local courts, the exposure sites, and the industries that put workers at risk.
- Deep Knowledge of Asbestos Exposure Sites: Our attorneys have extensive experience with California's most significant asbestos exposure locations, including naval shipyards, oil refineries, power plants, and military installations throughout the state.
- Personal Attention: We limit the number of cases we accept so that every client receives direct access to their attorney. You will never be handed off to a paralegal or lost in a large caseload.
- National Reach: While our focus is California and Texas, we represent mesothelioma victims nationwide. Our experience with federal courts and asbestos trust funds allows us to pursue every source of compensation available.
Our Approach
We handle every mesothelioma case on a contingency fee basis. That means you pay nothing upfront and owe no legal fees unless we recover compensation for you. Your initial consultation is always free and confidential.
From the moment you contact our firm, we begin a comprehensive investigation into your asbestos exposure history. Our team works with medical experts, industrial hygienists, and occupational historians to build the strongest possible case. We handle all aspects of the legal process — from filing claims against asbestos trust funds to preparing for trial — so you and your family can focus on what matters most.
Our Offices
We maintain three offices across California to serve clients throughout the state:
- Santa Clara, CA — Serving the Bay Area and Silicon Valley
- San Francisco, CA — Serving San Francisco and the greater Bay Area
- Sacramento, CA — Serving the Central Valley and state capital region
If you are unable to visit one of our offices, we are happy to arrange consultations by phone or video conference. We also make home and hospital visits when needed.
Community Commitment
Asbestos exposure is not an abstract issue for us — it is a reality that has affected the communities we serve. From the shipyards of Hunters Point to the refineries of the East Bay, California workers were exposed to deadly asbestos for decades. Our firm is committed to serving these communities by pursuing justice for the individuals and families who were harmed.
We also support mesothelioma awareness and education through our partnership with mesothelioma-lung-cancer.org, a trusted resource for patients and families seeking information about diagnosis, treatment, and legal options.
