Roswell Park in Buffalo is one of the original NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers (founded 1898 — the first cancer research center in the US). Roswell Park's thoracic oncology program treats pleural mesothelioma with multimodal therapy including surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy (Roswell pioneered checkpoint inhibitor research), and clinical trials. Western New York patients have direct access to comprehensive mesothelioma care without traveling to NYC.
